Best RSS Feeds for Tech, AI, and Business Research

A checked collection of technology, AI, and business RSS feeds, with publisher notes, feed formats, observed update dates, and OPML and CSV downloads.

If you follow technology, AI, or startup markets, this checked list gives you 23 feeds to start with. It includes publisher reporting, practitioner writing, research posts, and community discovery feeds. Every feed URL below returned HTTP 200 and parsed as RSS or Atom with at least one entry when checked on 29 October 2026.

The OPML download and CSV source list contain the same 23 feed URLs. The OPML file groups them by topic. The CSV includes the observed format, latest entry date, and item count from the check. These are portable files for feed readers that support those formats. We did not test importing them into Sparkfeed, so use the reader’s own import documentation before relying on that workflow.

Sparkable makes Sparkfeed. This directory is an editorial research selection, not a popularity ranking or an independent review of the publishers. We selected sources for their usefulness to engineering, AI, company building, or market research, then tested the feed endpoint directly. The count of entries in a feed is only the response we observed. It does not describe a service limit or promise a future update schedule.

Start with a balanced set

For a broad technology view, pair BBC Technology with Cloudflare and GitHub. Add Simon Willison for first-person software and AI notes, then choose a discovery feed such as Lobsters or Hacker News. For AI, use a mix of vendor announcements, research institutions, and practitioner work. For company building, start with Y Combinator, Sifted, and one founder-oriented newsletter.

A feed collection works best when its sources have distinct jobs. Publisher reporting helps you track announcements and news. Specialist writers often add implementation detail or operating experience. Research labs and academic outlets publish institutional work. Aggregators and community feeds help you spot links that you may not find through a publisher alone. Those discovery feeds need more filtering because the original source and quality vary by item.

Use this index to pick sources by topic. The full records below include the checked feed URLs and observed dates.

Technology and software engineering

BBC Technology

Feed: https://feeds.bbci.co.uk/news/technology/rss.xml · Format: RSS · Latest observed entry: 29 Oct 2026.

Broad technology reporting from a general news publisher. Follow it for coverage of policy, consumer technology, platforms, and major company news. The feed item links to the BBC story. This check confirms the feed response, not the availability or full text of every linked article.

Cloudflare Blog

Feed: https://blog.cloudflare.com/rss/ · Format: RSS · Latest observed entry: 29 Oct 2026.

Engineering and internet infrastructure writing from Cloudflare. It is useful for technical posts about networking, security, performance, and the company’s own services. Treat service announcements and research as vendor-published material, then compare claims with other sources when they affect a decision.

Simon Willison

Feed: https://simonwillison.net/atom/everything/ · Format: Atom · Latest observed entry: 28 Oct 2026.

A personal feed covering software development, data, and AI, including links and short commentary. It is useful when you want a working engineer’s perspective alongside company announcements. The feed is broad rather than topic-filtered, so expect occasional posts outside AI or engineering.

GitHub Blog

Feed: https://github.blog/feed/ · Format: RSS · Latest observed entry: 28 Oct 2026.

Product, developer, and open-source coverage from GitHub. Follow it for platform changes and reports about software development. GitHub publishes the feed, so use it for the company’s announcements and stated research. It does not replace independent reporting on GitHub or its competitors.

The Pragmatic Engineer

Feed: https://newsletter.pragmaticengineer.com/feed · Format: RSS · Latest observed entry: Tue, 27 Oct 2026 16:19:22 GMT.

A software engineering and technology business newsletter with practitioner interviews and analysis. It can add company and career context that product blogs rarely cover. Some newsletter material may require access on the publisher’s site. RSS availability does not remove a subscription or paywall.

The Register

Feed: https://www.theregister.com/headlines.atom · Format: RSS · Latest observed entry: 29 Oct 2026.

Technology news with a distinct editorial voice, including enterprise computing, security, and infrastructure. Use it as a reporting source and a counterweight to vendor blogs. The supplied URL redirects to the publisher’s API endpoint, which returned valid RSS during this check.

Lobsters

Feed: https://lobste.rs/rss · Format: RSS · Latest observed entry: 29 Oct 2026.

A community link feed focused on computing. It is useful for finding technical essays, tools, and discussions that have drawn attention from its members. The feed is user-submitted discovery, not a publication’s editorial output. Open the original link and assess its author and evidence.

Hacker News front page via hnrss

Feed: https://hnrss.org/frontpage · Format: RSS · Latest observed entry: 29 Oct 2026.

An RSS rendering of Hacker News front-page links, provided by hnrss. It can surface startup, software, and technology stories across many publishers. Ranking and inclusion reflect the community site, not a news editor’s assessment. Visit the linked source before citing a claim.

AI research and practice

This section combines company updates with institutional research and engineering material. The distinction matters: a product company can explain its own release, while a university or research group may publish a paper, project, or broader technical account. Neither source type is automatically complete or neutral. Use the feed to find the item, then read the linked page and any underlying paper before treating it as evidence.

OpenAI News

Feed: https://openai.com/news/rss.xml · Format: RSS · Latest observed entry: 28 Oct 2026.

Official company news and research announcements from OpenAI. Follow it for product releases, research updates, and company statements. It is a primary source for what OpenAI says it has built or announced. It is not independent evaluation of the product or a complete view of the AI field.

Google AI Blog

Feed: https://blog.google/technology/ai/rss/ · Format: RSS · Latest observed entry: 26 Oct 2026.

Google’s AI-related company blog feed. The requested URL redirected to the current AI section feed and returned RSS. It is useful for product, research, and infrastructure announcements from Google. Expect company-authored coverage; pair it with independent reporting or academic work for comparison.

Hugging Face Blog

Feed: https://huggingface.co/blog/feed.xml · Format: RSS · Latest observed entry: 29 Oct 2026.

Technical posts from Hugging Face and its contributors, often about models, datasets, tooling, and open machine learning. Follow it for hands-on implementation detail and ecosystem updates. The feed can include company and community contributions, so check each post’s author and affiliations.

Microsoft Research Blog

Feed: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/research/feed/ · Format: RSS · Latest observed entry: 22 Oct 2026.

Research posts from Microsoft Research across AI and other computing areas. It is useful for institutional project write-ups and technical work from the lab. The feed spans topics beyond AI. A post summary is a starting point; follow links to papers or project material for methods and results.

A follow-up automated check received HTTP 403 from the Microsoft Research feed, while the same URL opened as RSS in a browser. Test it in your chosen reader before keeping the subscription.

MIT News: AI

Feed: https://news.mit.edu/rss/topic/artificial-intelligence2 · Format: RSS · Latest observed entry: 28 Oct 2026.

MIT News stories tagged for artificial intelligence. The feed offers research coverage written for a general audience and links to campus research. It can help you discover researchers and studies, but a news story is not a substitute for the paper, its limitations, or an independent replication.

AWS Machine Learning Blog

Feed: https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/machine-learning/feed/ · Format: RSS · Latest observed entry: 28 Oct 2026.

Implementation and product posts about machine learning on AWS. Follow it for examples and platform-specific guidance if your work uses AWS. The material is vendor-published and may focus on AWS services. Check current service documentation before copying code or relying on a product behavior.

NVIDIA Deep Learning Blog

Feed: https://blogs.nvidia.com/blog/category/deep-learning/feed/ · Format: RSS · Latest observed entry: 15 Oct 2026.

NVIDIA’s deep-learning category feed, useful for hardware, model, and ecosystem announcements. The latest entry observed during this check was older than several other feeds in the list. A date snapshot does not establish the normal cadence. Treat product performance statements as vendor claims and seek the linked methodology.

Business and founders

These sources cover startup operations, venture-backed companies, software businesses, and broader management. Several are newsletters or company-backed publications. Some stories may be available only to subscribers, and feed metadata does not disclose the reader’s access rights. RSS links to the publisher’s item; it does not bypass a paywall.

Y Combinator Blog

Feed: https://www.ycombinator.com/blog/feed.xml · Format: RSS · Latest observed entry: 28 Oct 2026.

Founder advice, company stories, and program news from Y Combinator. It is useful for startup operating guidance and examples from companies in its network. The publisher has a direct interest in startup formation, so read advice in that context and check whether a story represents one case or a general pattern.

TechCrunch Startups

Feed: https://techcrunch.com/category/startups/feed/ · Format: RSS · Latest observed entry: 29 Oct 2026.

Startup-focused reporting and announcements from TechCrunch. Follow it for funding news, company launches, and coverage of founders and investors. Its category feed includes event and promotional items as well as reporting. Check the linked article’s format and sourcing before treating a headline as confirmed market evidence.

Sifted

Feed: https://sifted.eu/feed · Format: RSS · Latest observed entry: 29 Oct 2026.

European startup and venture reporting. It is a useful regional complement if a US-heavy feed list misses European companies, funding, and policy. The publisher may restrict some articles. RSS provides a discovery path, not access to subscriber-only material.

Farnam Street

Feed: https://fs.blog/feed/ · Format: RSS · Latest observed entry: 29 Oct 2026.

Essays and interviews about decision-making, learning, and business, including the Outliers series. This is a slower-moving source for management ideas rather than startup breaking news. Follow it when you want durable concepts and examples; check linked books, studies, and interviews for the original context.

Not Boring

Feed: https://www.notboring.co/feed · Format: RSS · Latest observed entry: 23 Oct 2026.

A newsletter about technology companies, markets, and business strategy. It is useful for long-form company analysis and a clearly argued point of view. The writing is commentary, not neutral market data. Check the cited filings, interviews, or company statements before using its interpretation as a factual claim.

Lenny’s Newsletter

Feed: https://www.lennysnewsletter.com/feed · Format: RSS · Latest observed entry: 28 Oct 2026.

Product management and growth writing, including interviews and operator advice. It can help founders and product teams discover practical approaches and experienced practitioners. Some articles may be subscriber-only. Advice drawn from interviews is not a controlled study; preserve the author’s context when applying it.

SaaStr

Feed: https://www.saastr.com/feed/ · Format: RSS · Latest observed entry: 29 Oct 2026.

SaaS company operations, sales, and founder content. Follow it for a steady stream of operator interviews and software business topics. The feed also includes event and sponsor material, as the sample entry showed. Separate promotion from editorial material and verify any benchmarks at their source.

Business Insider

Feed: https://www.businessinsider.com/rss · Format: Atom · Latest observed entry: 29 Oct 2026.

A broad business publication feed that redirected to an Atom endpoint. It offers company and market coverage beyond startups. The feed is not topic-filtered, so it can add volume and unrelated business stories. Some linked reporting may be restricted. Check access and sourcing on the article page.

What the feed check tells you

The 23 selected endpoints produced 8 technology feeds, 7 AI feeds, and 8 business and founder feeds. The chart counts sources in this directory, not articles or users. We kept sources with working RSS or Atom responses and at least one parseable entry. A good response also contained an identifier for the sampled item. Redirects were followed and the final URL was recorded in the private research log.

Verified sources by sectionVerified sources by sectionTechnologyTechnology: 88AIAI: 77Business and foundersBusiness and founders: 8823 feeds returned parseable RSS or Atom with at least one entry.
Counts are the verified entries in this directory as of 29 October 2026. This is an editorial selection, not a popularity measure.

The check does not test long-term uptime, completeness, publisher accuracy, or the article page’s access rules. Some feeds are publisher-authored; others aggregate links submitted by readers. We did not classify every item as full text or excerpt because the XML response alone is not reliable evidence of what a reader can access on the publisher’s site. Open the linked item to inspect it. RSS does not bypass paywalls.

To add a site that is not in this list, use the guide to finding or creating a website feed. For a writing workflow, see how to find article ideas from sources you follow. If you want help choosing the reading app itself, compare open-source RSS readers. To read and organize sources in Sparkfeed, see the RSS reader feature.

Sources and further reading

Each directory entry links to the publisher homepage and the exact feed endpoint we checked. The source map and section counts describe this sample only. For setup steps, use the linked feed-finding guide above.

Frequently asked questions

01What are good RSS feeds for technology?

A useful starting mix is BBC Technology for general reporting, Cloudflare and GitHub for company-published engineering updates, and Simon Willison for an individual practitioner’s writing. Add Lobsters or the Hacker News front page when you want links discovered by a technical community. These sources serve different purposes, so follow only the ones you will review.

02Which AI RSS feeds include research?

MIT News: AI and Microsoft Research publish institutional research coverage. Hugging Face, AWS, NVIDIA, and the Google AI Blog cover technical work and company ecosystems. OpenAI News carries official company announcements. Read the underlying paper or documentation when you need methods or evidence, since a blog post can summarize or promote the work.

03Are RSS feeds free to read?

The feed endpoints in this list responded without a payment prompt during the check. That does not mean every linked article is free. Publishers can require a subscription on their websites, and RSS does not bypass those access rules.

No. The entries are selected for research use across three topics. We did not measure subscriber counts or compare popularity. The observed item counts describe feed responses on 29 October 2026, not audience size or a publisher’s maximum history.

05Can I import the OPML file into Sparkfeed?

The download is standard OPML 2.0 and can be used with readers that support OPML. We have not verified Sparkfeed’s import behavior for this file. Check the current product documentation before using it with Sparkfeed.

06Why are some feeds Atom instead of RSS?

Atom is a separate syndication format that many readers support alongside RSS. This list includes Atom from Simon Willison and Business Insider. The CSV and OPML identify the feed URLs; the format label helps you see what the endpoint returned during the check.
