Folder & Feed Management
Overview
Section titled “Overview”SparkFeed uses a two-level hierarchy to organize your content:

📡 Uncategorized feed (no folder)Folders are optional containers. Every feed can belong to a folder, or remain at the root level.
Managing Folders
Section titled “Managing Folders”Create a folder
Section titled “Create a folder”- Click “New Folder” in the sidebar
- Enter a name (e.g., “Tech”, “Design”, “Newsletters”)
- Press Enter or click Create
Rename a folder
Section titled “Rename a folder”Right-click a folder in the sidebar and select “Rename”, or click the pencil icon.
Delete a folder
Section titled “Delete a folder”Right-click a folder and select “Delete”. The feeds inside the folder are not deleted. They move to the root level.
Managing Feeds
Section titled “Managing Feeds”Add a feed
Section titled “Add a feed”- Click “Add Feed” in the sidebar (or press
A) - Paste the RSS/Atom feed URL
- SparkFeed will auto-detect the feed title and favicon
- Optionally assign the feed to a folder
- Click “Add Feed”
Edit a feed
Section titled “Edit a feed”Click the ⋯ menu next to any feed and select “Edit” to:
- Change the display name
- Move it to a different folder
- Update the feed URL
Remove a feed
Section titled “Remove a feed”Click the ⋯ menu and select “Remove Feed”. This removes the feed and all its cached articles from the database.
Refresh a feed
Section titled “Refresh a feed”Click the refresh icon next to a feed to manually trigger a fetch of new articles.
Feed Status Indicators
Section titled “Feed Status Indicators”SparkFeed shows a small status indicator on each feed in the sidebar:

|---|---|
| Green dot | Feed fetched successfully |
| Red dot | Feed fetch failed (check the URL) |
| Blue dot | Feed has unread articles |
| ⏳ Spinner | Feed is currently being fetched |
